The Stellar Region’s trio is the brainchild of Tim Mirth. He dreamed of a group that brought the soul of Coltrane and Hendrix into the modern age. It starts by presenting a boundless performance with no rules and glues it together with the true soul of music, rhythm and groove. Akron based Jazz/Funk saxophonist, Justin Tibbs, is a frequent performer with many musical acts in the area. Tibbs has played with such musical acts as: Acid Cats, Chromadrive (formerly known as The Jared Lees Band), Tracey Thomas Quintet, The Angie Haze Project, The Ryan Humbert Band, and Thieves of Joy. Tibbs is making his return to Jilly’s Music Room with his project JT’s Electrik Blackout
